strange egg

Here is an egg from one of my EE's. 2 more pics of it on my page. What would cause this?

Stress... hitting the nest box hard?... landing on a golf ball?

I mean the coloration. The ends are darker colors.

Egg oddities happen from time to time. I don't worry about them unless they become a regular thing.

I dont know what causes it besides maybe some stuff about protective coatings and all that, but my egg layers have 'easter' egg marked eggs like that sometimes... Darker on one end or the other or both.

I hope someone can come on here and tell you the scientific reasoning for it! Id be interested to know the terminology!
