Hi all
Im in the habit of rescuing chickens from neglectful or abusive homes and have recently been donated two english buff orpington hens, and was told they had scaly leg. I dont see any signs of scaly leg, although the hens they were housed with definitely had it, these two were broody inside together on the floor so I believe they may have escaped it. I will be treating them regardless. Anyway, my question is about their feathers. The ends of their feathers splits up, all strands separate and they are all quite sunbleached looking. Funny enough, I have two orps from the same brood and they look fabolous
anyone know what causes this? Im not new to chickens but our have luckily been quite healthy!
