Not trying to groos everyone out, however I went outside this morning to do a little cleaning and I found this mixed in with some of the dropping on the collection tray. It looks like a soft, runny egg shell. Would this be considered the start of egg binding? Unfortunately I do not know which bird it came from and everyone seems to be acting normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Looks like the shell of a soft-shelled egg. Unless one of your ladies appears ill, it probably just a "hiccup" in the plumbing. Make sure there is plenty of layer feed with calcium and free-choice oyster shell around.

Yup, it's just a soft-shelled egg. I get those a lot when my hens just start laying. [IMG]

Thanks for your input edselpdx. Like I said, they all seem good. I was just a little surprized when I saw it. Thanks!!
