My chickens just went through one round of roundworm medication a week and a half ago. I've noticed they have consistently been pooping white cloudy poop that outlines their dark poop + they have diarrhea often, but that might be because of the fruits we've been feeding them lately because of the heat. I was wondering if white cloudy poop is normal...it's not so much foamy as it is cloudy. Please let me know if this is a sign of another disease. They are currently on the coccidosis preventative medicated feed by MannaPro, so I was gonna knock that off the list.

chicken poop usually should have a white cap on it. this is normal. can you provide pics of the poop?

My girls are on Safe-guard right now, day 3 of 5. Their poop looks like you described since on the medicine. Some looser than others but they're eating and drinking. Interested to learn more. Good luck with your flock. 🤞

I'm just worried considering they stopped their medicine a week and a half ago. I'm starting the next round in 2-3 weeks, so I thought maybe the worms were not eliminated as expected/

Will definitely attach photo tomorrow. It's not the normal bright white part of the poop that's usually solid/oily, it's a puddle of washed out white cloudiness with a big, fat dark chunk of poop in the middle. I've been seeing this kind of poop consistently for the past few days amongst normal poop- so not all their poop looks like this but a good 1/2 do.

most chickens have what is called a fecal poop every 8 to 10 poops. it will look like diarrea
and smell horrible. usually brown or green. if you are not seeing any more worms you wont need to treat them again. when i wormed mine i used ivermectin paste horse dewormer, gave then some about the size of a split pea, half a peppercorn. they never had to be treated a second time as ivermectin kills the eggs too.

the problem with most dewormers they only kill the worms so you got to keep treating them
with ivermectin its a 1 time use and done. with any wormer don't eat their eggs for 7 to 10 days after deworming.

Pictures of the droppings would be helpful. Did you see roundworms in the droppings before treatment, or have a fecal done to ID them? How old are they? Medicated feed is usually stopped at 18 - 20 weeks.
I'm going to suggest that you use either Safeguard liquid goat wormer, Safeguard Equine paste, or Valbazen, and dose each bird orally. The pellets aren't really formulated for chickens, and if they don't eat them or don't eat enough of them, they won't be treated. For roundworms only you can use the ones I've listed twice at 10 day intervals to get the roundworms. First dose kills the worms, second dose kills any eggs that hatch after that before they mature enough to lay more eggs (the medications kill the worms, they do not kill the worm eggs). Dosing of the Safeguard would be different (5 days in a row at the dose below instead of two treatments 10 days apart) for some other worms rather than round worm. Valbazen will get most (except tapeworm) with the two doses.
Safeguard dose for either product is .23 ml per pound of bird weight, Valbazen dose is .5 ml for a standard sized bird (actual math if you want it is weight in lbs/2.2 x 20mg / 113.6).
