So today, my 2 month old Coturnix quail Cinnamon started laying eggs. She laid 2 eggs in one day, believe it or not and the first one was normal, just like any other, but the second one is what I'm a bit concerned about. It was an almost completely oval shape, and it was 2 times smaller than the other one, I think this is the second one because it was still warm when I got to it. It is completely white in color, except for a bit of brown on the bottom.
Here are some pictures:

Any help is appreciated.

If they lay two a day, which is common in young ones, there will be a bit of a compromise on quality somewhere along the line. I wouldn't worry as the shape and colour can be affected by how fast the egg travels through her system. I have an older girl who sometimes gives me a fairy egg. It's so tiny and cute!

Okedoke then, thanks!

And, as you said, she layed a shell-less egg today.
