Strange 'thing' in egg

I found this in my boiled egg it looks like a tiny kidney...!or could it be a worm? It wasn't attached to the yoke but very close.. I cut it in half and it was firm spongy texture.. the white of the egg nearit was grey colou.. ugh!

Ive had a look at lash egg, it's not the same as that.. this was inside the egg and as big as a pea, the lash looks like an egg or something that's been laid...

Redsoxs thanks for the link it's all worth knowing.. I couldn't find anything similar on there either.. but main thing is my girl is fine..

It may be a very large 'meat spot' or a very small 'lash' that was encapsulated within the egg. This is not an uncommon occurrence. In commercial production such eggs are identified through candling and relegated to baked goods.
