strange...

The coop isnt that far away from the road either..i didnt see any new prints in the snow, but they could have walked down the drive way, then just followed the path i have to the coop. as far as locks go, i just got back from lowes and bought some!!!! Ill be locking everything now, goats, chickens and my rabbits. Iv found my rabbits coop unlatched acouple of times and have found my rabbits hopping around the yard! I really hope its not some crazy animal rights person trying to let them all go!! Which reminds me of the time my boyfriend came home to find a lady wondering around our yard, picking up turkey feathers! Boy, did she get an ear full from him!

Don't know if this helps but if you take a motion light (20-30 bucks) and take the bulb out then screw in a plug adapter now plug a radio into it and you have a cheap alarm (turn radio up loud) O btw if u forget that u did this u might get scared yourself if it goes off on you in the morning LOL :) well this works for us never had a problem people or animals haha ...good luck..

I would have never of thought of that! Thats a great idea!!! Thank you!
no problem hope it works out for you, it might be some Kid messing around (hopefully) we had two love birds stolen from us and our dog when we lived in CA I know they were stolen cause the cage was gone and not long after that some guy walked my dog by the house ...long story never got my birds back though glad to be back in Texas haha

Raccoons can unlatch or at least force open a latch. To beat, you may need to use multiple latches on same door and have one near top and one near bottom in addition to one at standard height in middle. This really helps if door is flexible. Dogs getting into critter as they did will also help greatly. With some of my confinement, I assume doors and latches are useless even when properly used, so I make roosting site harder to get to. Having dogs go out a couple times each night helps greatly but that results in stuff be tracked in or oppossum placed under bed like happened recently.

We are going with locks and thinking about putting a roof on the run..we have the bird type netting but thats it.
