This chicken just showed up in the barn yesterday. Was just curious what she might be. I see similarities to RIR but I have no experience in chicken breed identification.

Consensus is mutt! That’s fine by me, we are a roo-free flock until we get more rural. Maybe she will be able to teach my week-old babies a few things when they get older. She very much does not like to be handled. Is there any hope of taming her or is it a lost cause at this point? I did notice the comb is almost nonexistent but didn’t know if that could be age-related or not.

Her comb size isn't age related, she just has a pea comb. Interestingly, she seems to have had her primaries clipped. She is probably someone's pet/livestock that they intended on trying to keep from escaping by trimming those feathers. You might want to see if neighbors are missing a chicken!

Thanks! I have been asking around, no luck yet in finding her flock.
