Stray bit my chicken Plz help

yesterday morning a stray came into my yard and tried to take off w my chicken. It came out from under the porch about 1pm. Has a few punctures, one on spinal area mid back and one behind left leg possible punctured air sac. He was walking at first and eating/drinking. Before I heard any breathing complications I washed off bc flies had been on it's back. After a Luke warm washing he only occasionally stands up but doesn't walk, not eating and barely drinking from a syringe. He made it through the night but seems to be constantly sleeping. When I pick him up he cackles and opens his eyes, I don't see any irregularity in his pupils. I'm going to pick up whatever medication I can as soon as local store opens. No vets in the area deals with chickens.

Your chicken likely has an infection from the puncture wounds. A dog bite injects bacteria into tissue and it multiplies as lightening speed. Within hours, your chicken was very sick from it.

This isn't taking into account possible organ damage. If you are hearing breathing difficulties, I would say the chicken has also sustained serious lung damage.

If you want to try to save this chicken, you need to get a vet to give you some Baytril or another aniitbiotic ASAP. Even if your chicken survives the wounds to the body and lungs, it won't survive the infection without an antibiotic.

You could try penicillin since you don't have any vets around, or other antibiotics that may help.
