Stray cat...?

Seems tooo many peeps here would like to treat stray cats like an enemy. All my cats in my Avatar are feral rescues. They don't bother my chickens. They live outdoors and have a safe garage they can enter for the night. I have them ALL neutered/spayed, and do provide food and water always. They in turn provide my grounds, mouse and rat free environment.

Mine is pure evil to predators, he has brought us baby alligators, killed off the possums. I can not say enough good things about my cat. I mean who has a cat bringing them alligators in Georgia?

It was funny though our dog sniffed one and it got stuck on her nose, but that is crazy.

Any cat that wanders into my yard promptly gets shot. Not my fault you refuse to keep your cat inside where it belongs. I am so done with picking cat crap out of my garden and flower beds. And yes, they have chased my chickens around and gotten shot for it.

Just want to add that no dog is allowed to wander the neighborhood. Why are cats?

Do you feel any ounce of personal responsibility if your cat craps in MY yard? Obviously, that's theoretical, because I do not live anywhere close to you (thankfully), but seriously...do you not feel bad at all that your pet is leaving its filthy feces in someone else's yard to pick up? Yeah, it's a win for you, but it just shows how selfish this is to other people. I'd be mortified if any of my pets stepped foot on someone else's property (which they cannot do, because I won't allow them to).

I wouldn't but my cat never craps outside his yard/territory. He will kill your yorkies though. Sorry I do not trust the cat.

The trouble for us is that the only place we have dirt is in our garden and planter boxes. That's where we grow our food. Cat poop is not a good fertilizer, and it's full of diseases. Plus, the cats ruin the plants sometimes too, by their digging.

A stray cat got into my chicken area and pulled a bunch of feathers out of my one chicken. I would worry.

Yes they do. Mine use the litter box in garage access, or bury somewhere in my yard. The cigars that I do find around belong to the Raccoons, opossums, and skunks that are plentiful in my urban neighborhood. There is also some scat left behind by coyotes. I do have to gather rabbit scat (goobers) to keep my dogs from munching on those.

For all the peeps that are not in favor of cats being outdoors, here is some interesting reading of a successful program. I rescued my ferals (ones in my avatar) living creatures, and put them thru the TNR, at my out of pocket expense. Should I have ended their life,,,

Nope. None at all. It's called nature. How do you feel about birds crapping on your stuff? At least my cat buries it.
FWIW, I live in the country, not some little city lot or neighborhood where I can reach out my window and shake hands with the neighbors. Lots of stuff craps in my yard. They're called wild animals.
