Stubborn Prolapsed Silkie Hen.

I've been cleaning it with plain cold water, & applying Triple Antibiotic ointment. The nice thing is it's still good healthy tissue. Been keeping it moist. No swelling.

Should I still include a video?
If you have video, yes, you can include that.
I'm following along. Just keep at it :hugs

Okay, cuz I'm still convinced she's constipated.
I've dealt with constipated birds a couple times, & never had a prolapse happen.

She's not pushing with her ovaduct, she's been pushing with her rectum. Just trying to explain in detail before I get a video. If I can today.

Here's the video, She tried to poop off camera unfortunately, so I took an after picture.

I'm sorry, I'm still trying to catch up I think. The tissue won't stay in at all?
No poop if you hold the prolapse in?

The swollen tissue is blocking the intestines. She seems quite alert though.
If you think she's constipated and the straining is what is causing a continued prolapse instead of an egg or material that needs to come out, then I would give her 1 tsp mineral oil twice a day for a couple of days. Likely will make for loose stool, but it may push on past I don't know.

She lets out a tiny poop, when I have tried to put the prolapse back in, but that's usually it. It's not swollen, it's been that size since this started up.

It pops back out when she attempts to poop.

I don't have mineral oil.

Essentially the prolapsed tissue is blocking her from pooping.
Remind me again what you are putting on the exposed tissue?
You got any anti-inflammatory cream that you can put on the tissue?

Coconut Oil? That will help soften stools up sometimes, if you have that you can feed her 1tsp coconut oil. Mine love it, just put it in the freezer to harden, break it up and let her eat it.

I wash her back end, & tissue with plain cold water, & have been applying Triple Antibiotic ointment to it to keep it moist.

No, I don't have anti-inflammatory cream, since I'm not sure what to use on chickens.

I have coconut oil.
