Stubborn Prolapsed Silkie Hen.

Her abdominal swelling has gone down alot, so I believe her bowels are cleared now.

Her anti inflammatory cream has been applied today.

So the tissue is not staying in?
Well, that stinks!
Is her poop more normal? She's not straining?
I just put her back on her regular food, so we'll find out if she's gonna have normal poop now.

When she goes to poop it pops back out, but I haven't tried recently. I will try to get it back in tomorrow.

Were you able to get it back in?

Yes, it is back inside, but pops back out when she poops. Her muscle for retracting it back inside seems to be weak though.

Are you giving extra calcium like Caltrate with D3? If not, then I would for a week to see if that helps with retention.

No, I kind of stopped the extra calcium since it didn't work. One of the problems I had with boosted calcium is her pushing back against me, when I go to push the prolapse back inside. She fought me, pretty much.

I'm able to get the prolapse back inside without a fight, without calcium.
