Stuck To Padlock On Coop.. It Just Figures!

Sorry; but it's just too funny..

It would be fun to list all the dumb things we all do (but think we're the only ones)! There's:

-sticking to cold metal with wet hands

-locking self in the coop

-putting eggs in the pockets and forgetting until a "crunch" is heard.

What else?

I do appreciate the warning about the cold metal and sounds like a lot of people have been there, done that! Owie!!!

I went out the other morning to fill the rabbit bottle. Decided to grab some firewood. My other hand stuck to the door knob.

Lesson learned!

I hope your fingers heal over quick. I know the sting is more than annoying!

. . . and no one even double-dog-dared you.

Hey, I just found these great new work gloves at Lowe's: they are polyester blend with a combination of microsuede and rubbery grip on the palms/fingertips. They are stretchy and very snug. Best of all - they are WASHABLE. So far they are working pretty well for those cold morning feedings, they have good grip and are fairly sensitive. You might look for the WASHABLE sign on the tag of the gloves if you are at Lowe's.

Stay warm!

Thanks for the tip! I have been looking for gloves that are thin but warm, and have had no luck! I have done this once before, but I gad the gallon of warm water in the other hand, so no damage done! Thanks again,

The sting is annoying! Lesson is learned! I would have waited a little longer out there to use my body temp to slowly get fingers off, but my 3 year old son was in the house alone. A million things go through your mind. I run out there 2 or 3 times a day with warm water, but am only out there for 2 mins at most so I got them off as fast as possible.

I'm just glad our below zero weather is over for a while. Now that is not fun getting out in that and worring all night about chickens.
