Yes, shoot the dog if you see him again. If he bit you that means even if animal control gets him he will be put down because he is too vicious to rehome. I am the protector of my girls and any wild or feral animal that crosses the line does not survive, pets are given second chances but the third time I capture and take to the pound.

Yes, and alert your neighbors! I'd hate to think if there had been a child nearby; this dog would have killed a toddler. Any dog that is not guarding his own property, that attacks and bites like that, is extremely dangerous to any person and animal it comes in contact with. Dogs can travel for long distances as well. Take care of yourself, give your babies a chance to get over the shock, and tell everyone you can about what happened. Your wee ones can't be replaced, but you can help make sure that others do not have to endure what you are going thru right now.

but what if that dog goes after a small child who's holding a hot dog or just a child who's out and about in their yard and these dogs are hungry? It's just scary to think about.
I mean...the fact that it attacked you like that is kinda scary. Who knows who else it might hurt.
I guess this method was used by the DNR in my area when a farmer was losing sheep, donkeys, and many turkeys to wild dogs.
I think he lost somewhere around 20 animals in 3 days.
I really hope I don't offend anyone here.
I know it's cruel...but when you think about what could happen...
I know animal control around here isn't very helpful...
So I'm just running on that idea...

I don't believe there are bad dogs...who knows what happened to these dogs.
I mean...I know they shouldn't behave this way...but...maybe if they are caught and given a meal...maybe some of them could be pets and have some quality of life.
Everyone has to survive.
I like your method much better...this way the dogs can be tested and evaluated.

out here we shoot stray dogs on sight, if they are without escort, molesting the livestock or game, doesn't matter. I prefer to shoot first, ask questions later..It law, everyone knows it...nothing else to do. You must be near houses
