What kind of eye ointment? I put neosporine on lids but eye continues to water and yes some milky. I just got her yesterdayIt looks more like some kind of injury to me rather than a stye. If you lift the upper eyelid on the eye that was closed, can you see any pus under the eye lid? It will be white or creamy colored and firm. Not knowing for sure what the cause is, I would err on the side of caution and use some ointment in the eye(s) until it clears up. If it's got gunky discharge that's gluing the eye shut then I think it's needed. I would do that rather than take the chance it's infection or becomes infection and gets worse putting the eye at risk. If there is pus, then infection is already there. If there is pus, it needs to come out in order for the ointment to work to clear it up.
I figure I clean it every day and apply neosporine. Any other thing I can do?What kind of eye ointment? I put neosporine on lids but eye continues to water and yes some milky. I just got her yesterday
Read the article. Doesn't look like a style. Don't know what it isI've never had a chicken with a stye. But bacteria from debris, or injury from pecking or getting something in the eye are common.
This article is on styes, which seem fairly uncommon:

They can have eye problems from respiratory infections also.
You can use plain neosporin or Terramycin eye ointment (many tractor supply stores and feed stores carry it, no prescription required) a couple of times a day.
