I have this product in the ducks bedroom:Might depend on wattage of bulb 250 I think is highest 150 lowest I’d go with lowest wattage. There are also sweeter heaters.
Our friend that is an electrician hooked up our duck house so I can plug other things in from the outside. I have the lamp basically nailed up securely from the rafters so they cannot touch it or knock it down. I only use it when it is seriously cold which is not that often here compared to many others. The other morning when it was 16 degrees I used it and when I opened the duck house and checked the inside temp it was just over 30 degrees so I felt ok with it.I have heat lamps from raising ducklings. We get quite cold here as well. I worry about the safety of them, though. What’s the electric for those heat lamps? Our duck house is low voltage.
I got 2 of the same thing last year but they did not seem to warm up the duck house. Or at least mine.I have this product in the ducks bedroom:

It is 200 watts and does not emit a ton of heat, you can put your hand on it when it’s fully warm. Not as warm I think as the red lights.
I think I am going to invest in a sweet heater and hang it from the rafters. That to me is safer than heat lamps. Its very similar to sweeter heaters.
