Sudden death in otherwise healthy chicken?

it may be mites 17 chickens of mine died from mites..they can get in a lot of way even with a clean coop, I suggest spraying coop with this mixture: 2 cups water. 1 cup cooking oil. 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Mix every use applie it once a day for 3-4 days should kill mites
Sorry for spelling some words wrong

Everyone I have experienced you’re problems an all of your comments sound exactly the same MITES. Make a mixture of: 2 cups of water. 1 cup cooking oil. 1 tablespoon of dish soap applie it once a day for 3-4 days it should do the trick. Note that even when your coops are clean they still get in..ty an hopefully this solves it;-)

I just lost one of my buff Orpingtons very suddenly and without any observable symptoms. I held her in my hands a couple of hours earlier when I put her in the yard. I have no reason to believe she was egg bound. Fine one minute, dead the next. Sad.

I lost one of my one year old Buffed Orpingtons. She was lively, laying well, and perfectly healthy yesterday. She died overnight in a nesting box. I found her already stiff on her side this morning. These are pets, given very high quality feed, in a large clean run. Absolutely no reason I can see that she died. I believe there is a sudden death syndrome that is more common than people realize.
