Suddenly I need a minivan

On chevy and dodge vin numbers if the 1st number is 1 its made in the USA 2 is Canada and 3 is Mexico. At least the car is put together in those plants parts may still come from all over.

2004 Honda Odyssey. We have three kids, plus numerous neices, nephews, friends, grandparents. It seats 7 with flip down seats in back. Great for hauling everything. I have flipped the seats and taken home couches, patio furniture, lumber.... Heated leather seats are fabulous in winter and great for cleaning up kid messes. The side doors are automatic, which helps with never getting fingers slammed. And they can be opened on the dash, which is incredibly easy to dropping kids off or picking them up. Since back cargo area is meant for flipping seats in to , it has a huge amount of space. We easily pack up five big suitcases, a stroller, and have room to spare in back.

What sucks? We get tonnes of snow. Winter driving is hard due to the lower clearance. (I loved my SUVs!!) The auto doors occasionally freeze up in winter and need a good 1/2 hour of heat running to defrost them.

I would love to get those auto sliding doors....mine does not have it.

I also heard my uncle was saying the Honda Odyssey is also one of the good ones out there, too! Very low repair costs too!

dont they make vinyl anymore? I love leathers but they are hating us, since we stain or scratch it up. The cloth interior of our van, with our daughter scribbling past the pages ended up on the seats and acciidental spills from her drinks.

kinda the first thing I look at when buying a car. Course in 95', my burbs year, most USA cars where still made in the US.
When buying a used car I think paying the $50 for a auto check or car fax is a very good idea! You can learn so much from its history.

I assume so, but ours are leather. So far, so good. No stains, no scratches.
