Sugar Water?

It sounds like your chickens have CRD Chronic Respitory Disease. This common in poultry flocks and can be treated with antibotics. The directions say to administer through water or feed. I've used plain yogurt. This ensures that the birds are getting the full dosage (they love yogurt) and the yogurt helps create a healthy gut. Treatment is for approximately 2 weeks. You may try to clean up their droppings to ensure they don't reinfect themselves.

We try to clean the coop once a week and make sure they have fresh food and water. I just wished I hadn't got the hens. All my chicks were doing fine.

Oh are they still good to eat and the eggs as well? As long as I wait about 2 weeks after meds?

The eggs and meat are not safe to eat until approximately 4 days after treatment has ended...the package has guidelines on this as well.

Your birds symptoms sound identical to what I experienced after purchasing hens from another farm. They are all fine now, but it took approximately 3 weeks to make sure everyone was 'ok'.

Good luck!
