Sulmtalers Thread

Good morning everyone! I wish everyone a awesome day today! I think I've got my little ones to stop being so spooky when I put them in the big brooder and visit them several times a day, I put a little food on the back of my hand and now when I open the door there is not one chick that jumps or run off. They have settle down so much you would think they were a different breed of chicken. It turely has made them change their personalities.

Ok so the idea of keeping them separate is probably not going to work. These chicks can fly already. They will not stay in the brooder. I have raised 11 other breeds before in the same brooders. It looks like the Sulmtalers are going to make me finally put a top on the brooder.

I think they are messing with me and switching brooders. I keep counting different numbers in each brooder.

I use bird netting from the hardware/nursery...(the cheap lightweight kind) and Command brand plastic hooks glued upside down around the top... it hooks on and off easily to care for them.

Talking to them has not worked. So I will try the bird netting. Thanks for the suggestion.

I still think they are messing with me.
