Glad you joined us! Sumatras from what I heard often hatch a bit earlier than the usual 21 days, most likely because they are so tiny. So be prepared for that when incubating.

I think you may have confused Sumatras with Seramas. You are correct that smaller eggs tend to hatch sooner, my bantams are often out 12 hours or more before the large fowl.

Sumatras come in bantam and large fowl, but I think the bantams are less commonly kept.
