Quote: yes I miss read it. and I know I may not have had chickens as longs as you but you can still learn something new even from some one who has only shown or has had them for 3 years. the sad thing is you stop learning when you think you know it all. I do have the american standard it dose say that. and you are right that rooster dose not have a any of the qualities in the tail. now that you have pointed some things out.
but when he's two and been through a molt do you think he would look better?
i'm not talking about what he looks like now, I'm talking about what he should turn into.
NYREDS do you have Sumatras?
If you do post some pics, i think we should all post some pics of our best male and female Sumatra.
I hate to thread crash, but I need help with iddentifying my bird.
I have posted several times in the what breed catagory and everyone keeps saying either no idea or some kind of Game bantam, I am not so sure. Is he/she a Sumatra?
Probably could have saved myself some time by posting here weeks ago. I didn't think he was a game bantam. The black face was something I could not match for being a game. Had some ideas of a Sumatra, but figured I wouldn't be so lucky to own such a fabulous looking bird.
Question for all the natural breeders out there. Hoping my sumatra hen will incubate and hatch her own chicks. She was really broody before getting her rooster mate And for a short while after. But she has stopped acting like that. Now we have four eggs in her nest and no activity on her part. Should I be concerned or wait till there's more eggs?
