I have 5 Black Sumatra's. I've raised them from chicks. They are around 7 months old.
Turns out I got 4 Roosters and only 1 hen.
My real problem however is when I decided to let them all out to roam for the first time all 4 Roosters got into a pretty bloody fight and only quit when I decided to stop it and pen them all back up. What shocks me is that they have all been in a smaller size pen together since being 1 day old chicks but when they get set free it turns in to a battle zone.

Opinions?
I would let them settle things themselves but it gets pretty nasty very quickly.

Sounds like they are trying to setup their domain space while free ranging. I could be wrong, as I can't let mine free range.

My Sumatra hen is molting and I'm not getting any eggs. It's so frustrating.

Why did you get a Sumatra for eggs? There a lot better egg chickens out there. Sumatras are usually kept for there beauty or uniqueness.
