That's right, the lacing is only an andalusian blue thing, shouldnt be involved on others. Dont think dun is choclate in the SOP though, those are two different genes. Could be wrong.... But no unless it's a true laced pattern, no dun bird will ever show lacing unless it has that as a pattern. The lacing in an. blues to my knowledge is just part of the color itself and not a true pattern. In other words. I cant cross my blues to duns and expect the duns to be laced because of the lacing involved on the blues.I will have to check the standard later but I don't think dun (chocolate in the SOP) is supposed to have lacing like the blues. My original dun hen has slight lacing but nothing like blues. Since they are still a 'new' color that not many folks have I am sure there will be variation. I know another breeder who is selecting his duns to have lacing like his blue birds but to me when they are heavy laced, they look too much like a sunbleached blue. But they are your line and you should breed what you like as far as that goes
