I agree with you he might have some aseel or thai .The lacking of multiple spurs is another Indication.
His body and legs are too massive for a flighty bird,
I'd love to have the bird to mate with my Sumatras

that's because they breed them to black game bantams usually, I started the year before last to try and improve my bantams. I crossed to a large fowl and have a very nice little cockerel, he is a bit big of course, but I will be breeding him to my smallest hens this spring. I am working on it.. we'll see what happens in the next couple of years.

going the same route myself with mine. It'll make a difference for sure.

You can never say "they cant" in breeding because if there's a will, it can be done. Just takes time and knowing what you're doing is all

Herherm. He's a bantam. of course he looks "scrawny." I don't want a chunky bantam. And last time I looked, gamey=scrawny, wild-looking.



That bird looks gamey. No breast to speak of, and tall posture.

I still don't think they should be gamey only because they are lacking in areas like the ones I am seeing don't really have a full tales, very short saddle feathers it says long flowing in the standard, the heads are too small, the body looks unbalanced and a little bit to long in the legs, you rooster looks fine to me you don't want the legs to get any longer. his chicks will look to big if you do. and Doug Akers bred that rooster like that for a reason!
