Infinity-he is maturing beautifully! Very good rooster but very shy about us and keeps his distance. It is so hard to photograph him! But I'm used to roosters that terrorize the kids so I am happy with his shy demeanor! And is such a gentle breeder to the hens, even the BT in the flock. He had a molt earlier in summer but it didn't seem to be a full molt. His tail feathers didn't all fall out and those old ones are so tattered. We can't wait to see a full tail on him. His back is broad and tail set low.
Just curious, anyone else notice their broody sumatra hens cover up the nest with bedding/feathers when they get up to eat? I noticed one of the broody hens does this every time, just like a pheasant. I have never seen any other chicken do this before...
