Here is a pic of the frame of the bird i want , but with lot more feathers !! ... it,s an Ayam Hitam from actual Sumatra island ...from this pic i can say it,s a black Sumatra cousin !!

This is the Sumatra/Aseel Pair I have. hard to take pics of hen because she was going crazy. (second day I had them) The cockerel was really calm however

This Is my Sumatra/Phoenix Pullet. 3 months old the 6th of this month

Thank you. The guy I bought the sumatra/aseel has some really good aseel crosses. Mostly bred for aggressiveness though. Last week he sold a cockerel that was Sumatra/aseel/AG. Very nice tall bird, thick bodied and long tail. It was basically an upright Sumatra.

Wow , thank you rambob for all your pics ! very interesting i know it,s a challenge to take chicken pics , they always move !!! Some of my Sumatras are very aggressive too and hard to catch , the hens like to fight together , it drive me crazy , i hate that when they pluck each others ( they don't eat the feathers ! ) They just have a strong closed hierarchy and no place for newcomers . I also have to take pics of my new Sumatra youths fom this spring , they are 3 months old . I have one young roo who is really tall , kinda Thai or Malay type . His tail is not grown yet ... ?

My coop is nearly done now and I'm pretty pleased with how its looking.

Really cool coop Raph ! i love the symetrical shape , beautiful wood color too , good job !
Thanks, I plan to put my Sumatra's in it next spring for breeding. In the meantime it is going to house about 15 growers.
