That's very true. My better birds always tend to take 2 years to feather out to their fullest potential also, and have noticed mine tend to add a spur each year. My primary blue breeder started with 3. You can see him on Feathersite as a yearling, it's amazing to see the difference in him at 3 now, doesnt even look like the same bird, but at 2 he added a small spur on top, then this year I noticed just this weekend while triming and deworming them, he has added a fifth on the bottom. also looks to be getting an even better tail this year too. Once he gets feathered back out I 'll take some up dated pics of him to show all this.
