@Artichoke Lover, If I did, I was a tween..... A duo I loved when younger was Louisa May Alcott's Eight Cousins and the sequel, Rose in Bloom. Loved them much more than Little Women!

Nine Perfect Strangers was very entertaining. I also enjoyed The Gods of Jade and Shadow if you are into magical realism. Just got The Maidens back, so I'll finish that one.

Ready to discuss Mary Jane soon. I've thought of one question. I'll post it on the 1st and tag you guys in if you indicated that you read it.

@aart, I just finished The Marsh King's Daughter. Good book, and I can see why you compared it to Where the Crawdads Sing.

On chapter 2 of The Tattooist is Auschwitz. Really good so far. I report for meetings starting tomorrow, so I bet I finish books much more slowly in the near future.

Just finished a weird book, Leave the World Behind.
Part of it was about this loud mysterious noise, with doomsday ramifications.
While reading it today there was an explosion in the scrapyard 1/2 mile away....
....freaked me out! Life imitating art.

Sounds interesting and my library says they have it! I may check it out on Monday after I finish the Lord of the rings.
