It’s finally a nice day outside so the girls decided to sunbathe

Ive always wondered why mine only seem to do this on the hottest of days, they run out of the shade and directly onto the concrete (or deck) and splay out. Seems like they would wait until the cooler days to chill in the sun....just curious, what is the temperature?

It's so funny when they do that, mine look like they melt! They just run into the sun and slowly fall over.

I like how that one took off her shoes and set them their so orderly... mine always just kick them off haphazardly and the other birds are tripping over them when they get up.

Mine were laid out just the same the other day and it was 86f (30c) which is hot for the UK! I was checking them all the time just incase they had croaked it, non of used to that kind of heat

Mine usually dig themselves a hole to sunbathe in lol.

The temp is 89 F, so it is hot

They are very polite birds and I expect no less from them

Make sure they turn over to get an even tan. Tan lines can even be embarrassing to chickens.
