Super Chicken cartoons!!

Let's see...I was around 6 or 7 IIRR, when I watched it. I'm 45 now, so it was around 35 years ago at least, but many of the good cartoons were probably around for another 5 or 8 years after that. Heck, I can just barely remember Mighty Mouse...I was probably still a rug rat at that time!

Hey Mudhen, When you mention "Fractured Flickers" Are you refering to the ones on the Rocky /Bullwinkle Show? If so weren't they known as "Fractured Fairytales"? Stories like Rapunzel and such? I too had completely forgotten about Fred and superChicken until I found this site and saw your Avatar... What a blast from the past to be sure!

Oh, you are so right! 'Fractured Fairytates' is the right name!!

Thank you, Peaguy !!

Back when the cartoons were funny.

! I agree, Motherhenandflock !

So glad there are some others that remember these, they were actually funny.

I always tell my kids they haven't seen "real" cartoons. Rocky and Bullwinkle, Super Chicken, Mighty Dog, Yogi Bear and Bugs Bunny are the real thing. Kids today just don't understand.

Course, they say the same thing about us, don't they?

I have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying this thread. Thanks to Mudhen for starting it for us!!

I know what you mean! I'd rather watch those and laugh than 'Spongebob' or whatever is deemed popular these days.

I remember

'here he comes to save the day!' Mighty Mouse, too!

Another blast from the past:
How about Quick Draw McGraw, anyone remember those cartoons? 'Soright? Soright!'

Sometimes I threaten to "el kabong" my teenagers! Oh, yes and lil 'ol Babalouie!

Who was that dog that would get a dog biscuit and then go "ummm, ummm, ummm" and float down ever so slowly while enjoying the biscuit?

Names are escaping me right now, but I remember a dog that kind of snickered. He would at a treat or something, fly up into the air and float down, landing softly on the ground in complete and total satisfaction. Does anybody else remember this guy? Who was he?

Edited to say: Motherhen and I are on the same track here!

The dogs name is Mutley. He's the greatest.

He was in "Catch The Chicken" and Whacky Races. My six year old
watches Whacky Races on Cartoon network. It really brings back
memories. Bugs, Rhode Runner, Tom & Jerry, etc... Can't seem to
find Mighty Mouse and others any more.

The new toons are TERRIBLE. Most are Japanese with scripts written
to match the cartoon. They make no sense.

I must admit that I am a Spongebob fan. It can be really sick but it's
better than the others.
