Your 6 embryos are entering a period of rapid growth and high metabolic activity:

• Gut Health: The small intestine is beginning to loop and take its final shape within the body cavity.
• Energy Storage: The embryos are shifting their focus to absorbing the yolk to build up the strength they'll need for hatching next week.
• Movement: They are very cramped in the shells now, so you may notice the eggs shifting or wobbling slightly as they move.
• Metabolic Heat: The heat spiked earlier (up to 101.3°F) and is partly due to these embryos becoming more active and generating their own heat.

- Temperature was at 101°F and humidity dropped to 38.7%.

• 8:00 AM:
- Removed one blanket and loosened the tuck on the second to help the incubator shed excess heat.
- Lowered the room temperature from 90°F to 85°F.
- Added 1/16 cup of water to stabilize the humidity.
- After these actions, temperature has already begun trending down to 100.8°F, and humidity has recovered to 50.6%.

• 8:28 AM:
- Both metrics have successfully leveled out at 99.6°F and 50.1%.

• 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM:
- Humidity climbed and stayed above 50%, peaking at 57.0%.

• 6:45 PM:
- Opened vent to 100% to shed excess moisture
- Temp held between 99.5 and 100
- Humidity began to drop

- Temperature is 99.9°F

• Feather Growth: Their down feathers are lengthening and becoming more distinct.
• Egg Positioning: The embryos are oriented so that their beaks are tucked under the right wing, aimed directly at the air cell.
• Calcium Absorption: They are now pulling significant amounts of calcium from the eggshell to strengthen their skeletons for the physical effort of hatching.
