Superior Farms ordering .... any successes?

Some things to know:

I talked to Danny today:

1. Orders need to be done by May 1, 2009 for eggs. After this date, they're done.

2. They are debating selling NO chicks and NO eggs next year in order to build up their own stock/ refresh breeder birds for higher production for coming seasons. Consider it a "rebuilding" year.

3. They are debating not selling eggs at all since different POs cannot be trusted to handle fragile things well...fragilely.
 
My box of eggs did not say Fragile or anything other than EGGs. That could have meant hardboiled, wooden or plastic and I got scrambled

, no handle with care, perishable, nothing but tissue wrapped bathroom tissue, single ply!! They need better egg packing.

I sent two e-mails one telling Danny how I received them and one with pics! I haven't heard anything from Superior. I set what was left after having to wash off yolk so we will see. I'm not expecting much to hatch.

It definitely would be nice to get an email acknowledging the email I sent and the fact that 1/4th of the most important eggs were DOA.

Calling is the fastest way to get ahold of him about it. You could call and tell him you sent an email with photos about it, so that he will notice it a bit faster...and you'll feel like you're being listened to.

I get Poultry Press and had considered ordering chicks or eggs from them to add to my SQ birds, but honestly I had one bad experience from a large Farm and ordered 3 dozen eggs, got them packed with just a few shavings in the carton and a pencil was left in the carton, I ended up with 8 busted eggs and after setting the balance only 3 chicks hatched.
I am very leary after reading these posts about ordering from Superior.

I have done Customer Service for 30+ years, I also have a side business that I had while I held a 50+ hour a week FT job and I answered emails from customers on a daily basis. I have customers that I have had for 15 years since I started my business because I provide excellent service.

Any business, especially in today's economy needs to think long and hard about the service they provide, people are watching how they are spending their money and excellent service is going to become very important.

JMHO.

I hope everyone gets the issues worked out and that Superior makes it right.
