Has anyone ever heard a female duck whistle? I have two 5 week old Runner Ducklings. When they were in the house I heard one of them whistle for sure so I knew it was a boy. Now they are both making a somewhat quacking sound but not real loud. Sorry I can't do pictures or sound on here, I am not that savvy. Thanks for any information you may have on them.

Haven’t seen this post in awhile
Had a few pages to catch up on
My ducks are all good and my Stella the goose is amazing
Still runs over for me to pick her up and cuddles. She falls asleep on my lap after she tells me all about her day
She had the start of angel wing so we got her wrapped and after 4 days removed it to change it and it looked good. So left it off and just watched. That was a week ago and her wings look perfect now
I did learn today that Swedish ducks can fly as my boy has a limp
I checked his leg over and no breaks or hot spots. His foot looks fine so maybe a sprain / twist
I’m guessing chasing the girls around
So I though I should let him rest
Moved him into a sectioned off part in the duck house about 4 foot high fencing
Walk out and go back in cause I forgot something and at the same time he flew as high as my head over that fencing and ran out the door
Or should I say
limp running as fast as he could
No way was he going to let me keep him in lock up
Even watched him run down another girl to mate so I guess his leg can’t be to sore
Miss chest is still sitting on her eggs
About half way through now day 15-16
She has been an amazing little broody so far I just hope she is a good mom

Its been in the upper 80s lower 90s. Should i supplement electrolytes like i do for my chickens? They have their pool and another water dish. Plus plenty of shade. Just want to make sure they dont overheat.

I haven’t with mine but giving extra never hurts
