Support Group for Abused Duck Keepers

Went to feed the ducklings/keets after letting the ducks and geese out. I got to admit they are escape artists. Three of the ducklings managed to get over 2' of frame hardware cloth wall, down to the ducks/geese below and up and out a window that I have opened 2' above the floor. If I know any better the ducks probably nudged them up and out hoping they would open the main door to let them all out.
I found them under the coop chirping, apparently they spent the night under there.

They surely can get into mischief! Glad that they are safe and nothing happened to them. When I went to catch my male that was going down the road he started literally climbing the wall of the pen. The young fellow helping me said he never knew ducks could climb! I told him they can do all sorts of things to get out of somewhere they don't want to be, lol.

Hitting hundred plus degrees today trying to do this, so much abuse. I installed them a water park after this morning’s fun.
Wonder if the county is going to tax me as an amusement park here after this.
BTW that’s a 10’ diameter stock water tank rated for 1100 gallons

I’m going to be sitting inside and start hearing the quacks get louder when the water park opens and I bet you I will hear this playing and have to go investigate…

Your Ducks are going to Love that!!!!

Will that tank have a drain and how often will it have to be emptied. My water bill would be a second mortgage on my house if I had that setup. My 14 water containers for my ducks keeps it high enough, lol.
I collect it off the roof of the Waddle Inn through that black 12 inch culvert I cut in half.
I've watched it fill up 175 gallon stock tank in a inch of rain here and that is just one side.
There is a drain and a valve on it, I need to run about 100' of pex or garden hose to where it can fill up IBC totes which then the wife will fertilize her garden with it as needed.
How often will I change it out, I don't know. I'm thinking a float valve might be needed to drain it if it gets so high so it doesn't overflow.
Don't worry I got enough IBC totes to hold a couple years worth of water from it 🤣

Wow, you have access to an excellent setup. It looks great and those ducks are going to be some lucky ducks!!!

We're thinking of doing something similar with duck water, but given that we reach -10 occasionally, we're thinking of doing a geo-thermal green house ( in a while, it'll take both time and money)
Are you guys thinking geothermal? Or are you just going to do raised beds and such?

Update on PingyWingy, who is well in himself with a voracious appetite and a loud voice to summon me and his best buddy, O Pato. But he is still not walking after 9 weeks. I was worried that his knees are getting stiff, yet he cannot have longer in the water therapy because he has wet feather on his undercarriage.

My friend brought round a wheelchair for Pingy today. After am initial objection to oing in it, e settled well. I let him go back to his inflatable day bed for a while and when I came to put him back in the wheelchair, no fighting. He must like it. So far he has managed to poop through the hole provided and so he will be more clean than he was when sitting in his poop until I changed his puppy pad. I'm going to restart him on Cosequin, in a smaller dose as the teaspoon dose gave him diarrhea, and restart ibuprofen as I need to passively move his legs more frequently. His best buddy O pato is still devotedly hanging rund with him all day
