Yeah we have far fewer bug-related viruses too...

Also, weren't you saying Greeks are hot headed and prone to street arguments? Try screaming at your neighbors when you are outside in a snowbank at -40 and he is in his house all toasty and warm. By the time you get to his door you'll have forgotten why you were angry, he'll see you out there frozen and take you inside to warm up and put some soup in you.

We need each other, so we aren't so prone to keeping grudges.
🤣Wait but aren't Canadians known for being really nice?:gig

It's because we forget 😆.
Without this ability to forget where would second babies come from?
And wouldn't we all stop after our first broken heart?
As soon as I start walking down our yard at 6 they'll all start running down to the coop
Oh! Ducks that are happy to go home in the evening? How do you manage that? Only my Muscovy ever did that, but on their schedule. If I was not there to get them settled in, they would go back out on the pond and refuse to go in.

All good tips.
I grew up in upstate NY, only a few hours from the Canada border. Since it was something we always had, I didn't even consider what a winter would be like without freezing cold and lots of snow. 🤷‍♀️ it's been nice to have lived in two other states at this point that have a much more mild winter.
Sure makes taking care of the animals easier.
I grew up in England and it never occured to me I didn't have to have low gray skies and constant rain until I worked in Jamaica. Wow that opened my mind. Its been a long time happening --40 years since I worked in Jamaica -- but I am now retired in NE Florida. We do get occasional frost but most of the year is warm and delightful!! I suspect even nicer than @fluffycrow's weather in Greece. I have seen snow in Greece on the TV. We last had snow in St Augustine in 1951

We do have hurricanes, but I take my ducks indoors in dog crates and so far we have survived

such smart eyes they have! Funny, as 'identical' as they are, you can already see differences in their faces, they already have individual features.

beautiful babies you have!

have you done a bum-check to see boys & girls?

I am too much of a woose... I haven't checked the bums of my 3 little babies. The mom already doesn't trust me when I cuddle them, if I start flipping them upside down and playing with their privates she is calling social services on me.
😂I've tried so many times, I just can't do it correctly and I try to be as gentle as possible so I don't get very far.
But but but.... duckies need friends.... 😝
They do! You wouldn't want him to get depressed would you? (sad eyes) *evil smile*
SHE WAS NOT PLANNED!

I'm not readyyy for thisss😭
You will be, don't worry.
Oh 1000%
I'm there for ages with buckets until I can actually tip the thing out lol
If I upgrade this, the next will have a plug and drainage system!
We've all been there. my last one broke because I kept tipping it at an angle so it started to tear.
It just happens you can’t stop it
My son in 2021 mom can we get 2 ducks. Me: no.
Him please we have a fish pond they can swim in
Okay fine just 2
We get The 2 pekins
Husband they are just white and boring
Okay let’s get one more
Peep the khaki
You can see where this story is going. I’m now at 16
This is insane! Good thing my family sets a limit on how many I can keep...but this year I get to keep however many hatch:lol:
They're not very big but I've used cement mixing trays from the hardware store. The plastic is thicker and more sturdy than any kiddie pools I've used.

How big are they?
They're my world honestly
Don't know what I'd do without them

They're still abusive at times. But even so! It's worth it 🤣
Awww
i keep watching this :) so adorable... birds love music. I play Lullaby Baby playlist on Spotify in the coop, calms everyone down... they don't even fight about who sleeps where when i do
Aww sweet

4th swim tonight, and lets say, they didnt want to get out. The water easnt deep enough. I need a bigger brooder already (they are in a 50 gallon tote). I really didnt think they grew this fast🤦‍♀️
