Just speaking about most democrats throwing a temper tantrum if they don't get their way, the recall vote in Colorado for Senate President John Morse and Senator Angela Giron was blamed on "voter suppression". Both got recalled out

. Later Giron went on to tell some channel like cbs that it was voter suppression that caused them to get recalled. I saw a clip of it on Fox News Channel. What crybabies.

Well life is interesting but I am not a dad.

I use to mentor teens threw an offshoot of the Boy Scouts.

This was my nephew with his GF. I am his adult sounding board so his dad can be a dad an not have to worry about who he is talking to on the things that teens dont talk to dad about.

He has my ear most of the time but I shake up a lot of peoples kids an hand them back to them.

But how can crime increase if the guns are out of the equation? I mean, guns are the root of all crime. Okay, so this time I'm being probably more sarcastic than I've ever been before.

Actually the Australia "info" on crime increasing is totally bogus. They had a ban on private ownership of guns, with lots of exceptions, and they further expanded it with a gun buyback in 1997. Crime rates went up slightly, and have been decreasing since. Here is one citation, but there are plenty more out there, real ones, not internet rumors.

As far as I'm concerned, any statistic could be turned bogus by someone writing a convincing enough article, but I don't think taking a random wordpress blog post and using it as a news source is very credible either. :/

I think a lot of people on both sides have looked at Australia. Not much use in it though. The country has no borders, never had a gun culture or gun right, still does not have a ban, an it has such a low crime rate that one or two crimes can mess with the numbers across the whole country. How you word your statement can also make the numbers say things they dont really too. Frankly, what little was changed in the countries gun laws did little good or bad to the numbers over the long run. It may have changed how crimes are committed though. Or other things they have done over those years may have.

I wont say what I think of the conclusions in your link mom'sfolly cause fact checking that stuff is a pain. I will tell you that I would find another article to link to to make the point. One that does not reference snoops.com an one that does not have this statement in it.
