Supposed Auracana rooster

Aren't Aracaunas rumpless? I thought that was one of the first visible differences between them and Amauracaunas.
American standard Araucana are indeed rumpless. And tufted.

But with the mix of OP's bird, I don't see araucana... and if somebody's seeing muffs on the bird, its probably from an ameraucana rather than an araucana... Especially since araucana are far more rare.

My closest guess based on everyone's advice , on what breeds live where I got the eggs from, and what I see in his traits I believe , yes he does have a small portion of auracana, the picture didn't show his cheeks well enough, he likely has a helping,(no, no cooking words, dammit) a smidgen of RIR, based on his brilliant red shiny copper penny color, and he may very well have some silky because his skin color is slightly blue tinged. At the end of the day, my boy, Simba, is probably a melting pot,(no) sorry a smorgasbord (yikes, food again) okay he's a huge mixture of different things which came together to make one of the sweetest rooster I've had in 8 years. (Silky?) He's family regardless and maybe time will shed more light on his humble beginnings. He is only 5 or 6 months.

I think he has some, but not much, ....or rather not enough, like if you examine him closely and carefully, I'm sure you'll agree he doesn't really have quite enough soya sauce in him. I think he needs more.

He looks ginger but you just can't tell unless you go through the feathers if there is any star aniseed and shallots. You need these things., You need them NOW !!!! I Need them NOW, before, later, tomorrow, for dinner, I need these things.

Hey gang, I think "silkie hater" isn't an actual hater. I read that post as a tongue in cheek joke, sort of busting chops about the fact that the egg was sold as a silkie but it is quite obvious it is anything but a silkie. Funny post.:D;)

Glad someone is paying attention ! now you use that towering intellect to get that chicken onto a dinnerplate in front of me, we can do it, with the two of us working together, they sent someone to the moon, LETS DO THIS.!

p.s. I have silkies, I love silkies, I don't hate silkies, it's the people at the airport that hate me. I swear it.

I get those mixed up. If they lay green/blue eggs I don't care what they're called. I just like green eggs and ham (without the ham)..

And yes I love silkies. But its a RIDICULOUS silkie. Luckily I found a video which explains this rooster posing in the silkie show at the fair perfectly. Its on boo tube and it's KXsY2r1_9C0
