Supposed to be a SLW... is it??

Her comb is off, too. I think you have a mixed breed. She's very pretty and unique!
She has a rose comb. I think that is what wyandottes get, no?

It looks more LIKE a GLW than an SLW. Perhaps there was a mistake in the barnyard, but it doesn't look quite like the GLWs I've seen pictures of, either. Though I've not owned any myself, so it may just be a poor memory on my part. I know someone with a GLW that might help, though...

@SnootyHen - can you share some GLW pics from when your bird was younger????

In my experience GLWs are like SLWs but instead of the silver, have very gold/orange, even at a young age. This does look a bit like a mix between an SLW and a GLW, though. @TheOddOneOut @Overo Mare thoughts?

Here is a Thread from almost 10 years ago, with some GLW at 6 weeks. Unlike yours, they lack the silver stripe down the shaft of the feather, being entirely of the gold coloration w/i the black outline. That's what I recall of @SnootyHen's more adult bird, too - and the reason I think you have a cross of some sort.

Another @ 5 weeks

and another 6 weeks

This is the chick in question when she was days old, maybe a week or two. I forgot when I took those pics.

Honestly, I don't recall my SLW at that age re: the feather pattern on the wings, nor can I find a picture the right age (I'm using my cell phone for internet). Hopefully, a more experienced poster will hop in with a definitive answer but again, my novice eye says that's more like a GLW than a silver laced.

She came from a breeder! She breeds orpingtons, cochins, SLW and GLW, cream legbars, marans blue and BCM, bielefelder and faverolle.... i got all my chicks from her... i wonder what mix could give that coloring?
She’s either a wyandotte color cross or a wyandotte mix.
