Yes they were a mix of eggs from different hens!definitely not sex-linked.I have Buff Orpington,RIR/??,Speckled Sussex and Easter Egger hens in the pen I got them from and their Dad is a Buff Orp/EE sexlink mix.Most of the eggs were brown and only one green egg in the bunch.

I knew there was 2 broody hens setting.Ever since I stopped egg collecting because of worming I have been throwing out the eggs until the withdrawal period was over for my other pen of younger hens.But my older hens aren’t being wormed so I have been eating or throwing away their eggs,but for the past 3 weeks I got lazy and didn’t do anything but leave the eggs in there with them.I misjudged how long they were there for and conveniently forgot about the fact I have a rooster in that pen.So yeah it’s all my fault they are here,but I learned my lesson and will move forward.

The babies are now 1 week old and starting to love foraging with Mama.

Just updating on my babies who are now a day away from being 3 weeks old. I’m down to 5 chicks due to a predator but they are doing well!
