Aww well at least you got to see #2 any idea what color?

No unfortunately, it was super dark inside the house so didn't get a great idea of his color. Hershey is very good at pushing all the eggshells out of the nest though!

I'll try to get pictures of them tomorrow. I'm wary to mess with Hershey since she's a first time mom and I don't want to do anything to spook her away from the babies .

I (think?) there's a 3rd one but they keep moving around under her so it's difficult to see . The one that hatched out last night looks like it might be her color, not really sure. It's dark brown with a white mask & belly.

The 1st baby to hatch was already trying to catch a fly from the nest when I went out to check on them . Currently sitting here trying to get some pictures.

The other baby is camera shy (you can sort of see his little bill behind the other one!). But this one just tumbled out so have some baby pics!

She laid them . She lays very adorable little green tinted eggs. I was actually surprised at how big the babies were!

I'm thinking the hatch is done, as I haven't see any more eggshells or pips, but I'm not sure if these 2(3?) were early or not!

Since I had no reference for a due date I guessed May 2nd. So not sure if any will still be hatching or not. She's still sitting on the eggs so maybe she knows something I don't .

One of my Muscovy hatched duckling for 3 days till done and she started them at the same time. Your going to check soon so she doesn’t keep sitting and no more hatch? She’ll need to get up and show her ducklings food and water soon.

Oh okay! And yeah, I've been checking frequently. I also put a very low/small dish of water inside the house by the nest in case they want it, until she shows them the food and all.
