Surprise nest

That's too bad. I love my drakes but sure understand having too many and the problems that can cause. I hope when the time comes you can find them good homes.
I sadly just don't have enough hen ducks to have more drakes. I know if I kept them they'd fight with Blackberry, and would likely hurt or kill my girls come breeding season.

I love my animals and would never want to put them in a situation where they're unhappy, so these boys will just have to have a good home somewhere else 😁.

I am beyond confused at the colors that the babies are throwing 🤣.

They just started getting bigger feathers and have almost a wild type brown color to them. Like a female khaki Campbell color. I'll try to get some pictures in a bit!

Attempts were made to get pictures, but unfortunately my phone camera sucks 😭. I took quite a few but they all came out pretty blurry.

But look how big they're getting! ♥️🦆 I'm currently on the hunt for a bigger water pan for them. I have Hersheys normal one, but it's quite large and I'm worried they won't be able to get in and out.

Finally snagged a few pics of their feathers while everyone was having a pool party. Of course I just cleaned so everyone had to jump in the water and dump the food 🤣.

I also noticed their legs are starting to turn a beautiful bronze/brown color. So pretty!
