Ok, I guess you are right. Can you tell me how much that is in cc for him?
You seem to have more experience at this that I do.

How long is the egg withdrawal?

Do you think I could worm him again? He got his second worming at the beginning of July.

ok, I guess you are right. So how much is that in cc for his weight? He is about 6-8 pounds. I don't think he is quite 10.

Then repeat in 5 days right? Does this apply to the girls? How long should the egg withdrawal be?

Should I worm him again? He got his second dose of wormer around the beginning of July?

Ok, so does this go for the girls too? I am really confused now.

I thought it was 3/4cc for a large fowl. then 10 days later repeat the same, and withdraw eggs eating for 20 days till the last 10 days expired.

I am lost now. So can you explain more clearly what I need to do. I don't want to mess this up.

Another question Kathy. Can I give him the wormer and the Rooster Booster Cell formula at the same time? Or should I do the wormer first than the Rooster Booster?

If this was my flock, with the symptoms you have described, I would worm the entire flock with Safeguard for 5 days in a row. I am not sure how many cc for each chicken.

I don't have any experience with Rooster Booster, so I can't advise you there. But, personally I would wait until I was finished worming before giving him vitamins, electrolytes or Rooster Booster.

I hope Kathy comes back with the dosage for you.

ok, I have thought about what Kathy said about worming for 5 days in a row. I have never personally done this so I am going to try.
Nothing else has worked so maybe this could be what is nagging him, a bad case of worms. He is losing weight, so it makes since.
I jus hope he is not too weak that the wormer does him more harm than good.

Since I am unsure of the exact cc I am going to stick with the 3/4cc that I usually use for them. Then follow up with some
rooster booster cell formula after the 5 days are over.

If any one who has any knowledge of this method of worming and thinks I should change the cc amount, please chime in and
share your wisdom. Other than that, I am going to stick with what I have stated above. Lets all cross our fingers and toes and hope
that I don't accidentally kill Roy. I am new at a lot of this and hope that I don't mess it up.

I will let you all know what happens, I hope I have a good report.

Safeguard is a very safe wormer to use. I have read a study done on Safeguard for worming horses, that HUGE overdoses were given test horses with no after effects. You would have to give Roy a massive overdose to harm him.

I am not sure (and I can't find her post this morning) but, I am pretty sure the dose for Orpington sized chickens would be 1 and 1/2 cc per chicken for 5 consecutive days.

( I think earlier n this thread I told you 3 days, sorry for the wrong information)
