Panther screamed a girl like scream and ran for cover behind his mom, Emma, as a flash of lightning, followed by thunder, erupted through the air. Max and vanilla laughed at him as he coward behind his mom. "Your scared of lightning!!" Emma gave her scolding death glare, vanilla and max looked down away from their mothers piercing stare. But her expression changed in the blink of an eye, as she spotted the rising water. "Get the kids!!" Emma yelled to Jake, as she scooped up vanilla and Rachel from the grass and ran for the church den, Jake right on her heals with max, Lilac, and panther in his jaws. Bursting into the den, they ran to the far end of the church ad set down the pups.
The pups squished into the small corner together, cuddling with their eyes shut tight. Vanilla usually liked storms and thunder/lightning, but even she was to frightened to even squeak a word. Her eyes were pinched tight. Another lightning and thunder flashed through the air, making a bit of light flash through the large room filled completely with the other dogs of golden pack. All accept Tessa...

Tessa tried to dig her way out, but it was no use, she was trapped, with the water pouring in and flooding the entire cave, she had no where to go. Tessa tried multiple times to howl for help, but her cries couldn't be heard over the loud thunderous claps of lightning and pouring rain...

Faith's eyes were wide in fear and she began to dig, but it seemed like with every pawful she moved, another was washed back into its place. It was exhausting work! Finally, after a grueling effort, she managed to produce one gouge, where she stepped with her hind paws to work on the next.

Taj hung back and watched as Faith and Sylver worked on digging makeshift steps out of the den. Unsure of how to help, he was bouncing back and forth on his paws, looking around. Then, he looked down, something occurring to him. The water level wasn't rising... So that must have meant... Taj turned and followed the flow of the water to the back of the den, where it was so dark that Taj could only see where he was going when lightning flashed outside and reflected into the den.

"Uh, girls..?" he said, realizing that there was a tunnel dug at the back of the den. It was going deeper underground, but it was possible that they could find a way out, Taj supposed. He continued to walk, mostly feeling his way as he went. "I think there's a--" His words were cut short as the soft ground crumbled beneath his paws, and he slid away down the tunnel and into darkness, the echo of his yell of surprise left in his wake.
Sylver yowled as her paw slipped from the gouge. She fell hard on her rear, uttering a cry of pain. Suddenly she heard a yell of surprise, and whirled around to find Taj missing. "Faith! Taj is gone!" She howled. "TAJ!"

Ella squealed in fright, still dangling from Sylver's jaws. "Mommy, I'm scared!"

"Taj!" gasped Faith, leaping back down to the floor of the den and looking around. "Where could he have..?" she started, but she fell silent, feeling hopeless as water continued to pour in.

"Sylver." She turned to face the she-dog. "We've got to get out of here." She looked hurt at the thought of leaving without figuring out what happened to Taj, but she knew she needed to think of the greater good. "You keep Ella safe. I'll get us dug out of here." Lacking the same level of energy she had before, she rushed over to the den entrance and continued to dig gouges in a desperate attempt to get them out.

Name: Odio
Gender: Male
Age: Not quite elderly, but not a puppy either.
Pack: Indigo Pack
Rank: Hunter
Mate: none, but has a crush on Sedna.
Personality: He doesn't have much of one; Odio is a mostly stubborn dog, who hates to take orders. The only reason he joined Indigo Pack was because he hates Diablo of Jargoan Pack, and knew that he would need a pack to survive. He becomes extremely excitable, and therefore dangerous, when in the heat of battle or hunting. Too lazy to go and challenge another pack for territory, he continually attempts mutany behind Blue's back.
History: His mother, Flor, and his father, Luchador, vanished shortly after Flor gave birth, and he was the only survivor. His brothers and sisters died, but he hung on until finally, a female with pups of her own took him in. Sadly, he never knew her love, for she was taken and killed by teenager boys right after he was weaned. Only he knows this; he's never told another dog of his past. Perhaps, deep inside, he feels sorrow for himself, and the lives he has taken.
Breed: Presa Canario
Other:
Picture or Description:

Name: Mason
Gender:
male
Age: His silver-gray muzzle and paws depict old age, but he refuses to let it show through in his behavior.
Pack: Willow Pack
Rank: Packmate
Mate: none; deceased, uninterested in finding a new one.
Personality: An altruistic dog, he displays affection and concern for others at all times. Rarely do situations dampen his bright spirits, and he devotes himself to the merriness and welfare of Willow Pack. Benevolent, humble, and kind-hearted, he is clearly a one in a million dog.
History: He was loved and cared for by a wonderful, kind family, who had originally named him Buster. When a tornado hit, his family fled to the cellar, and amidst the pandemonium, he was forgotten. The tornado struck, and he suffered many injuries, and lived as a homeless dog, among many others suffering the same, until an animal rescue squad came. He was shipped to a shelter in Connecticut, but his crate got crushed by the other, heavier, luggage when everything was being unloaded at the airport, and he escaped, terrified of the jets, and ran into Newberry Park, where he found Willow Pack.
Breed: He is a commingle of many breeds, with no identifying traits about him.
Other: He hates to fight, unless it's absolutely necessary.
Picture or Description:
Rich, rusty red in color, with flecks of black dispersed thoroughly. His paws and muzzle are silver-gray in color, depicting old age, and his eyes are deep, chocolate brown. He resembles an Airedale Terrier in color, but not in build or coat. He is shaky, giving him the appearance of a frail old man.

Name: Mutilar
Gender: male
Age: Unknown, for he shows no signs of neither old age nor puppy-ish youth.
Pack: Indigo Pack
Rank: Sentry
Mate: None; he does not care anything about love, for they are alien emotions to him.
Personality: Mutilar is a callous, unfeeling shell of a dog. The thick skin that covers his body seems to trap what emotions he might have within him, making him appear cold and heartless. He demonstrates that he believes he is demon-possessed by saying we/us instead of me/I. He has no weak points, and his only purpose in life is to kill and serve Blue, his alpha, whom he respects.
History: Many a rumor of his past float about. Some say that he was a vicious fighting dog, the most fearsome in the world; others say he was once a pleasant dog, but was possessed by demons and became evil; Mutilar does not acknowledge these rumors, and he is content to leave the dogs to try to figure his past out without his help. Only he knows what his past was like, and he wants it to remain that way.
Breed: Cane Corso Italiano
Other: His right fang is chipped, making it sharper and more deadly.
