Jiyaken chuckled as the pups went for their toys, watching with a sense of calmness as they played. Raven's enthusiasm made him smile. "Sure did, lass," he replied.

Mint looked around as her brother and sister began to play. "Ball? Ball!" Spotting her toy, she darted for it, kicking it with both of her front paws at once and sending it rolling. She chased her ball around the den for a while until it led her near the entrance of the den and she looked outside. The day was nice, clear and already warming up. Her tail wagging, Mint looked to Jiyaken hopefully. "Can we go outside and play, pweeeease?" she asked, batting her eyes at the big gray dog.

Laughing heartily at Mint's begging display, Jiyaken looked to Raven and Jade. "Well, what do yeh think?" he asked. "Yeh wan' teh go out ter play?"

Mystery shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me," he replied. Truly, as long as Dixie was there with him, he didn't mind what went on.

His nose twitched as he caught scent of something tempting. A group of scavengers had just returned with what looked like several freezer-burnt steaks. Licking his chops, he eyed the steaks hungrily. "Looks like breakfast to me! C'mon," he said, and he headed toward the hunters.

((Hey, it's midnight here so I think I'm gonna go to bed. See ya tomorrow?))

Raven and Jade both yelped their agreements in unison and wagged their little tails as fast as they could. Before Jiyaken could give permission, Raven made a bolt for the den threshold, as f Jiyaken's question gave her the permission to leave it. Jade started to follow, but didn't know if he should, so he just looked up at the older dog with eyes that asked permission.

Dixie spotted the hunters with the steaks at about the same time as Mystery and she loped after him, drooling and staring at the steaks hungrily. "Oh, those look SO GOOD!" she exclaimed. Trotting alongside Mystery, she waited for him to ask for the steaks.

(Okay, goodnight! And, yeah, I'll be on tomorrow at about 3:00 and then I'll have to leave again at 4:00 for my art class.)

Jargo looked at her in surprise. "Now why would you say that?" he asked quietly, hoping Endigo wouldn't hear. But Endigo had stepped out of the den, clearly to give them some privacy.

"Don't you see? My pups are dead, and I failed by even having them. Maybe it would be better for Endigo to kill me; I don't want to live anymore." She mumbled in a strained voice. She put her muzzle on the ground, and covered it with her paws.

Jargo sighed sadly. "I don't really see, but it makes me sad to know that you think that of yourself," he said in a soft, sorrowed tone of voice. "But I won't let you have Endigo kill you."

(Man, it's been a LOOOOONG time since we've RPed... O.O)

"Why not?" Harli spat, turning to face him. Tears in her eyes, she went limp, feeling helpless and alone. She could do nothing to help her pups. They were gone. Dead, and it was all her fault.

(I know! TOO long!!! >.<)

Quote: Jargo sighed, feeling both sorrowed and annoyed by her temper tantrum. He understood her reasons for being so upset, just not why she had to take it out on him. Endigo entered the den. "You cannot stay here any longer," he said. "But I have a arranged a den for you and your mate to take in the south part of the Loner Lands. There you will be safe."

(WAY too long! >.<)

Harli snarled at Endigo, but a smirk was on her face. "We don't need you to arrange anything for us." She spat, the fur on her shoulders rising.

(How long has it been?? Weeks?!)

Quote: Endigo growled back and rose to his full height, dwarfing her completely. "Well, like it or not, I have! And you would be slowly killed by Luke's paws if it weren't for me!" he roared. Jargo stepped between Endigo and Harli with a bored, almost placid look on his face. Endigo huffed and walked away.

(LOL, something like that!)

Harli growled, "Better that than be in the same den as you." she spat, flattening her ears.

Quote: Jargo snapped at her as a reminder of who was in charge and ushered her out of the den. He was acting so strange; rather than coddling Harli, he was bossing her and not giving in when she threw a tantrum. Endigo watched them go and growled lowly until they were out of sight.

(LOL!)
