Jiyaken chuckled as the pups went for their toys, watching with a sense of calmness as they played. Raven's enthusiasm made him smile. "Sure did, lass," he replied.
Mint looked around as her brother and sister began to play. "Ball? Ball!" Spotting her toy, she darted for it, kicking it with both of her front paws at once and sending it rolling. She chased her ball around the den for a while until it led her near the entrance of the den and she looked outside. The day was nice, clear and already warming up. Her tail wagging, Mint looked to Jiyaken hopefully. "Can we go outside and play, pweeeease?" she asked, batting her eyes at the big gray dog.
Laughing heartily at Mint's begging display, Jiyaken looked to Raven and Jade. "Well, what do yeh think?" he asked. "Yeh wan' teh go out ter play?"
Mystery shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me," he replied. Truly, as long as Dixie was there with him, he didn't mind what went on.
His nose twitched as he caught scent of something tempting. A group of scavengers had just returned with what looked like several freezer-burnt steaks. Licking his chops, he eyed the steaks hungrily. "Looks like breakfast to me! C'mon," he said, and he headed toward the hunters.
((Hey, it's midnight here so I think I'm gonna go to bed. See ya tomorrow?))
