Quote: Jargo smiled a bit, then picked up the last two shanks of the coon and carried them out. He dropped them at her feet and smiled openly to her. "Sure," he finally said. He wanted to apologize, but he just wasn't sure.
(No, it's fine.)
Raven quickly looked around to see if anyone had heard, then lowered her head. Her eyes widened at Minty's reply and she gasped. Covering her mouth with a paw, she said, "Well, yeah, but... Won't Unka Jiy'Ken notice?" Jade pounced on a cricket and snapped at it, crushing the bug in his teeth before spitting it out again and making several sounds of utter disgust."Shhhh!" Minty said quickly, waving a paw through the air. Jiyaken had looked their way, but with an innocent smile from Minty, he returned his attention to Jade. Her eyes taking on a sly tone, Mint looked to Raven and spoke in a low tone. "Have you ever wanned to see the affla den?" she whispered.
Scarlet nodded to Russet, then stood. "Let's head out, then," she said, turning. She trotted out of the junkyard and headed north through the city. With the patrol close behind, she crossed streets and snuck through alleys until at last they had reached a somewhat grassy area filled with houses.
"Peaceful Gardens," said the sign at the entrance to the place, though Scarlet just saw funny human symbols. It was fenced in around the perimeter and a pretty human-infested area, but worth the risk to patrol. Scarlet knew that it was not only one of the most likely places to find intruders, but also one of the best places to scavenge for food to take back to the pack.
"Keep on alert," Scarlet uttered to her patrol, slipping around the gates at the entrance and to some thick, but carefully manicured bushes just inside. She looked around. The area seemed empty... Motioning for the others to follow, she headed cautiously down the sidewalk, clearly quite tense.
Harli smiled at him, then turned her face to look up at the stars. Quote: Jargo stared up as well, wondering what exactly he was supposed to see in the stars. A low, mournful howl sounded from where Endigo's den was.
