I just went back onto St. Cloud' Craigs list for Farm and Garden because I wrote down that those Welsummers and Easter Eggers http://images.craigslist.org/00j0j_3AW3alWNWMn_300x300.jpgnot This is the listing I was looking at. And I saw one in Princeton for $25 an egg.
I cannot find the ad but a $2.50 wellsummer would scare me slightly.. I have been getting 3 for my EE......
it has become pretty popular as the new 'it' yard game for the summer. This set turned out good not great but i learned what i need to to make up some jigs and hammer out a pile of sets. DW talked me into making them to sell at the farmers market. one 8 foot 4x4 makes up to 5 or 6 sets if there arent too many knots. the biggest trick is to get the beveled edge just right and not chip out on this dry pine. cutting them tonight revealed that my table saw has drifted out of square and needs adjustment.
