Surviving Minnesota!

Everyone please say a prayer for my mare Sneaks.
While I was at my track meet today my dad, who was home, found Sneaks in the barn. My mom didn't tell me much..

My dad then called my mom who was at the track meet and told her, but he told my mom not to tell me so that I wouldn't be distracted.. So finally when we get in the car to leave my mom tells me, 10 minutes ago.

My dad apparently called the vet, which my family NEVER does.

Jerry: The bait shop up here changed hands and they painted the building. I will get a picture for you since you may not recognize it when you are looking for bait. LOL.

Have a great day fishing!
Mr Sparks must of decided to retire . His dad Don did most of the carpenter work for mom and dad when they added onto the cabin in 74-76 or there about . Caught 43 today 10 were crappie . Made me work for it . The rainy cool weather slowed the spawn . Had to hunt for the ones everyone missed . No new beds made . Cold front coming through tonight . So cool for a few days . Need some sun to warm up the shallow water .

Hi everyone. Been laying low but think I am turning the bend. Just in case anyone cares LOL.

Ralphie, are you interested in selling any of what you have in the freezer? I would love to try one to see if I can notice the difference in farm raised versus the store bought. I have been assured that there is no comparison but have never had the opportunity. I am a little disappointed that you will probably not have your annual 'culling' party because I was waiting to figure out if I could do the deed. I am sure I cannot do it on my own. Patience. My time will come somewhere.

Love Dixie and Loretta Lynn. And Ralphie, good job on the windows. Makes the process so much easier to see what is happening.

Hope everyone is doing well. One question - wasn't there someone out there that said that they were expecting a baby girl in August? I am a little intimidated about asking in case anything happened and still wondering if I must have been crazy that day that I thought I read that.

Ivie How about we just have over for chicken. I am not sure how much we have left. I will have lots of roosters to cull, just no CX's.
Ralphie, with that creative sales job you performed on Judy related to the glass doors for the 1202s I am not sure if Holm learned sales techniques from you or you from him?

Holm told me how to go about it.

I have done what so many have tried and failed, I have turned my dog Pearl into a non-egg eating dog. She did not even try for one all day long. She is a tad grouchy and moody now, I am assuming it is a lot like a person that just quit smoking..

This rooster is one I am considering showing instead of Andy.

Tell me which is better..Jerry I know you know. This one is lighter colored but has a slight curve/bend in his comb. Both have long bodies and not bad tail placement, Feet are a tad better on this one. Size is better on the other one.

Here is Andy:

Dandilioness the one in the back with the huge comb is out of the running, if you want him let me know. He crowed for the first time tonight, over and over and over...It was a pretty sick crow.

Andy and I bonded here for a bit, when I changed his leg band.

Also does anyone know what I can do to lighten their ear lobes? Is that a dietary thing? Should I change something?

Ralph when preping birds for a show just dab some baby powder on their lobes. Or could corn cause them to darken a little bit? Maybe its from being young?

I must have had a bad dream while I was 'resting' from this terrible cold today. Holm, you grew all the way up and left us when you got married and all that kind of stuff. We really, really, missed you and life was just not the same. Bad dream.

I would go with the larger bird . They seem to prefer that in the proposed standard .

Corn can cause yellowing of white ear lobes .
