A turkey does not need another turkey, really, they become friends with anything, mainly birds.  However, I would worry if another one died.  I know I tease you guys mercifulness about your ducks and geese, but you should know a turkey with ducks in not a good idea, there are so many diseases a duck carries that a turkey will become deathly ill over.

The people at the poultry labs are very anti-turkeys and ducks together.    In the latter days of the last turkey was there any swelling in the head or dark areas?

Ok. They said its poop was a good consistency. Just asked them about the swelling and dark areas.

The other turkey died of pneumonia they think.
There turkey they have now is a broad breasted white, could that have something to do with it since it's a meat turkey?

It's not looking large enough to have that affect it yet. The pneumonia worries me it could be some kind of duck "flu".

They also had an outbreak of lice this summer. If that can affect a turkey.

Hello! I am from WAY up Nort! Near Thief River Falls. We just started with chickens this Spring. We have 25 Bovans and 3 Bovan roosters 12 mixed barnyard breeds. 4 laying hens then a straight run of 8 chicks almost 12 wks old. 26 chicks all straight runs of silver and gold Wyandotte, Black Australorps, Barred Plymouth rocks, cuckoo maran, Dominique, Buff Orpingtons, and Rhode Island Reds all 2.5 wks old.

I'm the only freshman on JV too!!

Cause I'm JV it also means that on the first day of school, Monday, I get to leave at noon to go to Center to play in a JV and V tournament

My daughter also plays VB. As a 7th grader practice starts for her in the morning.
